The eternal appeal of Dazed and Confused
Here is a reaction video from a young filmmaker's first time watching Dazed and Confused. I've always maintained that despite this film being set in 1976 and being viewed as a 70s stoner movie by a chunk of the audience, it is truly timeless and simply features characters we all know and shares feelings we've all had at one time or another in our high school years. This is from James Adams' YouTube channel, check it out:
I was honestly a bit surprised at how much James liked the film, I wasn't expecting quite that reaction from a 22 year-old. However, it goes to show you that it really is a film that crosses eras. Note there is very little discussion about pot scenes or the role of weed in the movie, because James sees the important parts and focuses on them, not the superficial stuff.
